Shortcut

As a solo designer still early in my career, I wanted one place to turn to when I needed to check a guideline, understand common practice, or figure out what to avoid. So I built Shortcut with help from Claude—a UI/UX reference hub to help me double-check my work and keep learning as I go.

Seatpeek

Get a peek before you take your seat.

A self-initiated design and development experiment: an interactive concert venue explorer that helps fans find their section and preview an estimated stage view at Singapore Indoor Stadium. I designed it and built it with help from ChatGPT.

Project notes
The problem
A flat seating chart makes it hard to tell where your section sits relative to the stage, how high up it is, or what the night might feel like from there.
The idea
Let concertgoers explore the venue, find their section using the details on their ticket, and preview a representative view from it.

What it does

  • An interactive 3D arena and a colour-coded seating plan
  • Section, row and seat inputs taken straight from your ticket
  • Level 2, Level 3 and standing-area exploration
  • Height and seated or standing eye-level adjustments
  • Normal and Concert modes—the latter with illustrative crowds, lighting, performers and lightsticks
  • An EXO soundtrack playlist in a visible YouTube player
  • Responsive layouts and touch gestures for smaller screens
Seatpeek’s seating plan: colour-coded sections around the stage and standing pens, with a pin on Section 211 and the ticket’s row and seat shown below
Seating plan, with Section 211 located from a ticket. The pin marks the section, not the exact seat.
Concert mode from Section 211: silhouetted fans holding glowing lightsticks in front of a lit stage and screens

A note on accuracy. Seatpeek is an illustrative prototype, not an accurate venue simulator. Your ticket details are kept exactly as entered, but the map currently locates your section—not your exact chair. Seat positions, dimensions, eye levels and sightlines are all estimates. It’s an independent project, not affiliated with the venue or the artist.
